I'm lifting heavier than ever this round of Body Beast and i'm looking forward to the massive changes that are about to take place. I've never been afraid to lift heavy but I'm a petite woman and have struggled a lot with building muscle. I've also struggled with some shoulder and back issues in the past. but this round I feel stronger than ever and totally capable of pushing the limits with my body. It's been a process... a long one but I believe in what I'm doing and trust that I'll get where I want to be with consistency and determination. Stay the course! Do the hard work! Believe in the process and train hard! ;)

Could you be doing the wrong type of exercise for your personality type?
As a Beachbody coach I have the added bonus of getting first hand knowledge and accessibility to all of our amazing workout programs. I always buy the newest program we offer. For a few reasons.. all of our programs are literally tested before they are ever released. A test group follows the program as it's written step by step and track all results for the entire duration of the program. I don't know about you but I love that our programs are tested and APPROVED before they're marketed to the public. It gives me a sense of peace knowing I'm investing in a program that really works! Besides that, I've successfully completed Power 90 and P90X with unbelievable results so I know, with certainty, that our programs work. Also, because I have a Beachbody program addiction. I don't want to be the coach that doesn't have every program in her library.
So, I've tried them all. TurboJam, Slim in 6, Chalean Extreme, RevAbs, Insanity, Turbo Fire, Combat and even Body Beast. Anyone that knows me knows that my ultimate workout favorite is P90X. P90X wins by a landslide in my opinion. But it all depends on who you ask. Others would pick Turbo Fire as their all time favorite. It has a huge fan base and a Turbo NATION type following since Turbo Jam. They should have their own planet! While I loved the house music and dance type style it just didn't keep me coming back. Then of course you have your Shaun T maniac's. They love them some Shaun T. While he's easy on the eyes he isn't easy on my heart. I love a challenge but I prefer not feeling like I'm gonna drop dead of a heart attack. Insanity is just plain difficult for me. I assume it's because I've never been a cardio buff... I've never really run for long distances or trained myself on endurance. If you've tried or done Insanity you know it's an endurance junkie's dream workout program. I personally don't like feeling like my heart is going to explode during a workout. However, when I do an Insanity workout I feel like a lunatic afterwards! There is such an adrenal rush that comes with finishing one of those workouts. All the adrenal junkies love that program. Besides Insanity though, everything else was weak in comparison to P90X. When I say weak I don't mean it in the sense that it isn't intense or that it doesn't work. I just mean it was weak in it's ability to keep me coming back. Same with all the others. While each of them have some really great aspects I just found myself missing P90X. And there is no one like Mr. Tony Horton either! He makes me laugh, he's engaging and he always knows exactly when I am about to quit and reminds me to keep pushing through! I feel like he's actually working out with me!
P90X just has everything I want in a program. I still randomly enjoy doing one of the other workouts every once in a while but when it comes to doing a program start to finish P90X has my devotion.
Most recently I've started but not completed Les Mills Combat. I did it for 5 weeks before I moved on to Tapout XT and now Body Beast. (Tapout XT is not a Beachbody program but it looked cool and Combat wasn't out yet... I don't want to hear any crap from the mouths of coaches about it either.. I'm not a trader, I just wanted to try the program. It looks legit and I need to feed my specific fitness appetite. Deal with it ;)) I love Combat for it's kicking and punching. The MMA feeling it gives you is the biggest attraction for me and everyone wants to feel like they're kicking some ass when they're working out. An awesome program and a really great workout but again, I found myself missing something. I tried Tapout XT and loved that too. Again, a little too cardio intensive for me. I almost went back to P90X again but I decided to do try Body Beast instead. I'm at week 4 and just started the bulk phase. I definitely feel I'm getting the "strength" workout I need from it and I save more than 30 minutes a day compared to the 75 minute P90X routines. So far, I'm having fun and continue pushing play. I want to see where it takes me and that will keep me going for now.
In order to keep pushing play, some part of what you're doing has to make you want to go back day after day. If you dread pushing play or driving to the gym you're not gonna do it. Period. Realistically, most people don't have the options I have. A limitless library of world famous workout programs to chose from each day. I could literally do a different workout from a different program every day if I was really bored. Most people probably invested in a gym membership or a few programs that ultimately doesn't do it for them for whatever reason. So now you're stuck paying a gym membership that they don't want to get rid of because they might want to go some time. They have a library of programs collecting dust already, so why invest in another program that's only going to sit on the shelf with the other ones? This is the conversation they have with themselves and why they just decide to give up and do nothing.
Lucky for me I have options because I might be one that couldn't find something I loved and decide to do nothing. Please, don't be the one that does nothing. You just have to figure out what you prefer. Do you like to work out alone or with groups? Do you prefer lifting weights or having a heart attach, just kidding. Cardio is a major motivation for most people. Whatever makes you want to keep doing it!! Some people prefer walking. Great! Go for a walk! If you like to run, start a running routine. If you like cardio buy an elliptical or Insanity! If you like strength training then get P90X or Body Beast! Exercise is so important to our overall health. Besides lowering the risk of heart disease it raises endorphin levels and just makes you feel better. You'll lose weight and even sleep better at night. The pros outweigh the cons. You just have to find the right type of workout for your personality. I'm 5'1, 110lbs. I might have a napoleon complex! It would explain why I enjoy mixed martial arts and strength training. LOL!!

WHY Everything's Possible
So, what is your why? You've got to have a reason if you want to make significant improvements in your life. And to make you want to make the necessary changes, your why must be something that is fantastically motivating ~ to you. You've got to want to get up and go, go, go, go, go-for years! So, what is that moves you the most? Indentifying your why is critical. What motivates you is the ignition to your passion, the source for your enthusiasm, and the fuel of your persistence. You must know your why.
The power of your why is what gets you to stick through the grueling, mundane, and laborious. All of the hows will be meaningless until your whys are powerful enough. Until you've set your desire and motivation in place, you'll abandon any new path you seek to better your life. If you why-power--your desire--isn't great enough, you'll end up like every other person who makes a New Year's resolution and gives up too quickly and reverts to sleepwalking through poor choices. Let me give you an analogy to help bring it home:
If I were to put a ten-inch-wide, thirty-foot-plank on the ground and say, "If you walk the length of the plank, I'll give you twenty dollars," would you do it? Of course, it's an easy twenty bucks. But what if i took that same plank and made a roof-top "bridge" between two 100-story buildings? That same twenty dollars for walking the thirty-foot plank no longer looks desirable or even possible, does it? You'd look at me and say, "Not on your life."
However, if your child was on the opposite building, and that building was on fire, would you walk the length of the plank to save him? Without question and immediately-you'd do it, twenty dollars or not.
Why is it that the first time I asked you to cross that sky-high plank, you said no way, the second time you wouldn't hesitate? The risks and the dangers are the same. What changed? Your why changed-your reason for wanting to do it. You see, when the reason is big enough, you will be willing to perform almost any how.

Where does my Passion for health and fitness come from??
Just a reality check.. I made over $26,000 as a Beachbody Coach last year.. while working a full time job, going to school 5 nights a week and raising a family! Many people ask me "what do I have do".. and I know it's because ultimately when you first hear that you can make this kind of money PART-TIME.. and literally a couple of hours a day.. you just want to know what you have to do. You think "I can do this.. a couple of hours a day telling people about Beachbody and selling P90X" But that's now how this works.. and for those that get on board thinking that's what it is.. are always disappointed. What Beachbody is.. is a company that is PASSIONATE about reversing the trend of obesity in our country. Beachbody revolves around living a healthy lifestyle. Exercise and nutrition! Now I'm not saying that all coaches are living a healthy lifestyle. I know of coaches that make this business work just because it's a network marketing company. Network Marketing WORKS if you have the right company with the right products.. we have the right products and this is the right company. So if you are a network marketing guru and you know how network marketing works.. this could work for you without living the lifestyle. However, I personally knew nothing about network marketing when I became a Beachbody Coach. I didn't even realize that's what this was. But I was PASSIONATE about the health and nutrition. Beachbody workout programs and Shakeology CHANGED MY LIFE. Not only physically but emotionally... and when a product helps change who you are and what you believe in.. it becomes YOU. That's where I'm at with Beachbody coaching. I talk about it because I'm passionate about it. I tell you about it because it changed my life and I know if anyone out there feels like I once did.. then they NEED THIS! They need the workout programs and Shakeology to get them where they want to be. I believe it's my mission to tell everyone I know about what I've found with Beachbody. I was 26 years old.. gained 25lbs when I quit smoking and was in the worst shape of my life. Trying to get healthy for myself and my son and yet I felt anything but healthy. I didn't eat the right foods I didn't exercise. I continued to feel worse and worse and fell into depression. One morning I saw an informercial for Power 90... bought the program and FOLLOW THE ENTIRE PROGRAM for 90 DAYS and IT CHANGED MY LIFE FOREVER!! That's why I am a Beachbody coach.. then P90X took me from fit to RIPPED in just 90 Days and my passion grew even stronger.. and that is why I am successful at coaching.. because I have a PASSION for these programs and for Shakeology. Shakeology took my husband off of high cholesterol medications.. my mom AND brother no longer need medication for high cholesterol. Shakeology gives me my HEALTH and it's in one simple meal replacement shake. It really doesn't get any easier than that. To me.. there is nothing more important than my health because without it.. I can't be a good mother to my kids.. I can't be a strong partner for my husband and I can't live my life happy and fulfilled. Shakeology gives me the energy I need to do all the things I need to do each day. I get all of my vitamins and minerals from it so I never worry if I'm getting all the important nutrients my body needs to function at it's absolute best each and every day. I never go without breakfast anymore.. because it's so easy to mix it up and go! The Beachbody Coaching Business... was an extension of everything that I already loved about the company.. I wanted to "Pay It Forward" and share with others what Beachbody gave to me.. by sharing my personal experience with the products and Shakeology. I began to talk to family and friends and even strangers about the products.. I wear my P90X and Shakeology T-shirts and sweatshirts.. drawing attention to myself and people ASK ME! I share my story on facebook and here on my blog.. I do whatever I can to let others know how these programs and Shakeology changed my life. Being a coach seemed like a no-brainer to me.. I started sharing my story the minute my life had begun to change.. so getting paid to do that was something I couldn't resist. I never knew I'd make over $26,000 my first year... while working a full time job, going to school 5 nights a week and raising a family with 4 kids. BUT I DID IT! For me.. it's about the passion that I carry for the health and nutrition this company has given to me. For me it's about KNOWING that without these products and the support I get from the community message boards and WOWY... I might not be where I am today. So I am forever grateful and this is my way of giving back. My only wish is this... for anyone that reads my blog and feels inspired, that they take a leap of faith. Trust that it moves you for a reason.. that you have the power in you to do anything you want to do. You have the power to make any changes you want. You can do anything if you just believe and then TRY! You have to take steps to make changes.. getting to the top is a challenge.. and you will struggle.. but think of the outcome and don't let anything keep you from reaching your dreams! Now all you have to do is take the next step.. buy the workout program and Shakeology and when it arrives START and FINISH! If you already have the workout program.. get it out of the box!! Get excited about starting and Finishing!!! YOU CAN DO THIS! The only thing that seperates successful people from unsuccessful people is ACTION! All that means is that one person does it and one doesn't. The one that doesn't is always going to sit there WISHING they did it. Don't be the one wishing... JUST DO IT!!! :) Now go get it!! :)

You want to workout and eat healthy but you don't.... why?
The key to getting healthy is in YOUR ATTITUDE! If you're the type of person that wants to wake up one day with a great body.. join the club! That would be awesome.. dream about it and it happens right!! Unfortunately we don't get there by wishing for it. It takes work.. so if you're too lazy, too busy, too tired.. too WHATEVER... you'll probably stay exactly the way you are.. OR get worse by the end of the year. You do have the option though.... you can accept that this is how it's going to be or you can decide it's not the way you want things to go. So.. Is that it for you? You're too lazy, busy, tired??? If so, that's it then.. guess you'll just gain more weight, become even more unhealthy... maybe end up with an illness that was completely preventable with a change in lifestyle? It's sad if that's who you are. If I could say only one thing to you I would say that you can change your mind whenever you want.. and it's never too late. For the rest of you... stop procrastinating... everyone is tired, lazy and busy.. EVERYONE! The only difference between you and me is our attitude. I decided that I wasn't going to allow myself to have any excuses... I have the mentality of "I'm gonna do it anyway". I was the epitome of tired, lazy and busy... at one point I worked a full-time job and went to school 5 hours each night and raising 4 school aged children. I still did P90X everyday and found ways to make healthy meals for me and my family. I'm not the only example.. there are thousands on the Beachbody message boards that have all been able to make it happen anyway. So you decide!
What 5 things should you do right now to change your life?
#1 ~ AVOID fried foods, Chips, Donuts, Candy, Soda, etc. The obvious high calorie foods that have no nutritional value. It's a waste of calories!! Use food as FUEL! We need to eat to function throughout the day. The types of food that we eat and the amount of food that we eat play an important role in how our bodies function. How we feel and how much energy we have can be attributed to what we feed ourselves. What you decide to eat determines how you'll look and feel. The moment I started making better food choices and started eating the right foods to fuel my body.. the better I began to feel and the better I began to look. Once that happens... there is no stopping you. All of sudden the motivation comes... you feel better, you look better... YOU GET THE DRIVE AND THE DESIRE TO CONTINUE!! So when people ask me where my motivation comes from I tell them it comes from the change. I know it's not easy to change... but it's WORTH it!! You just have to decide what you want... do you WANT to feel better? Do you WANT to look better? Of course you do!! If you want those things you have to realize it is going to take some work on your part. You don't have to LOVE the fact that you have to do something about it. No one really gets excited about that part.. the excitement comes when the body responds and you begin to transform. So initially it's a bit overwhelming... you have to sacrifice and give up some things to reach a place you weren't really sure you'd ever get to. But trust me when I tell you, you CAN get there!!
#2 ~ You have to believe that where you want to be is POSSIBLE for you. If you don't believe that you can get there you won't even attempt it.. and if you do attempt it without the belief.. you won't give it 100%. So BELIEVE and begin to see yourself there.. imagine yourself in the jeans you have been holding onto because you said that one day you were going to fit into them.
#3 ~ Order one of our workout programs because they actually WORK!! You've seen what P90X and Insanity have done for thousands of people. We have other programs if those seem to extreme for you to start with..but if you feel that's where you want to start.. Then try it!! Many of our success stories are of people that didn't limit themselves and went straight for the hardcore programs and completed them doing modifications of the exercises, and still had insane transformations. You can do anything you put your mind to!!!
#4 ~ Order Shakeology and drink it as a meal replacement every day! I personally drink Shakeology EVERY SINGLE DAY and it's completely changed my health. Shakeology has 70 ingredients including all the vitamins and minerals you need for an entire day! Nutrition is the biggest part of changing your body. MAKE IT A PRIORITY to eat healthier!
#5 ~ CHANGE the way you do things.. make better choices.. TELL yourself it's going to happen. GET YOUR ATTITUDE RIGHT! Wrap your head around this and then DO IT!! Warning: You're going to have a bad day and feel like quitting...so have your moment and get over it... Feel like quitting BUT DON'T!! You can feel like quitting and NOT do it! You can feel like not working out and WORKOUT ANYWAY. That's KEY to your success... DO IT ANYWAY!!!!!! I promise you.. you won't regret it. This all starts with a decision that you're just gonna DO IT! Get your attitude right and wrap your head around the fact that you are gonna do whatever it takes. Then DO IT! Don't make excuses! Don't just give up and let yourself fail.. THAT IS NOT AN OPTION and you need to remind yourself of that often! DAILY if you need to. Our minds talk us into and out of decisions all day long. Change the process and start giving yourself POSITIVE REINFORCEMENT! I AM GOING TO DO THIS. I WILL NOT QUIT. QUITTING IS NOT AN OPTION. I WILL WORKOUT TODAY. I WILL EAT HEALTHY TODAY. This works!! I swear by it. I know because I've been where you are. For me, it was 25lb... for you it might be 125lb.. but it doesn't matter because the thought process is the same. We have the same struggles.. the same negative thoughts.. BUT we also have the same advantages.. the same workout programs.. the same food choices.. the same POSITIVE REINFORCEMENT. Email me.. Call me.. use the message boards where other people are also struggling each day... that's what it's all here for and no other health and fitness company offers the support we do. No one else "gets it" like we do. DECIDE. COMMIT. SUCCEED. :)

Tells you WHAT to eat, WHEN to eat, HOW to eat it... It doesn't get any easier for the complete fitness dummy.. and I WAS ONE! I knew nothing about health and fitness... proper nutrition or exercise.. and look at me now! If I can do this.. ANYONE can do this. And not just anyone WILL do this... it takes a certain kind of person to KNOW that they have it in them... that they have something burning deep inside.. to be everything they want to be. Some people never get there.. because they talk themselves out of it... and others.. the ones that just decide to do it and not let anything get in their way... they will be the ones that make the most amazing transformations! So which type of person are you going to be? It's time to decide!! :)

What 5 things should you do right now to change your life?
#1 ~ AVOID fried foods, Chips, Donuts, Candy, Soda, etc. The obvious high calorie foods that have no nutritional value. It's a waste of calories!! Use food as FUEL! We need to eat to function throughout the day. The types of food that we eat and the amount of food that we eat play an important role in how our bodies function. How we feel and how much energy we have can be attributed to what we feed ourselves. What you decide to eat determines how you'll look and feel. The moment I started making better food choices and started eating the right foods to fuel my body.. the better I began to feel and the better I began to look. Once that happens... there is no stopping you. All of sudden the motivation comes... you feel better, you look better... YOU GET THE DRIVE AND THE DESIRE TO CONTINUE!! So when people ask me where my motivation comes from I tell them it comes from the change. I know it's not easy to change... but it's WORTH it!! You just have to decide what you want... do you WANT to feel better? Do you WANT to look better? Of course you do!! If you want those things you have to realize it is going to take some work on your part. You don't have to LOVE the fact that you have to do something about it. No one really gets excited about that part.. the excitement comes when the body responds and you begin to transform. So initially it's a bit overwhelming... you have to sacrifice and give up some things to reach a place you weren't really sure you'd ever get to. But trust me when I tell you, you CAN get there!!
#2 ~ You have to believe that where you want to be is POSSIBLE for you. If you don't believe that you can get there you won't even attempt it.. and if you do attempt it without the belief.. you won't give it 100%. So BELIEVE and begin to see yourself there.. imagine yourself in the jeans you have been holding onto because you said that one day you were going to fit into them.
